Dr. Hala Zaidan

Her main research areas are financial statements analyses, auditing, corporate social responsibility and using technology in accounting and finance research. Hala has published in reputable peer-reviewed journals (e.g. Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting, Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research, Competitiveness Review, Australasian Accounting, Business and Finance Journal, Cogent business and management, and VINE Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems).

Dr. Zaidan had served as head of the accounting department for 2 years (2020-2022) in the University of Jordan and worked as assistant dean for international accreditation and rankings. Meanwhile, Dr. Ziadan’s had significant contributions to educational quality and accreditation reflect her deep commitment and expertise. As the Head of the Faculty of Business Committee for International Accreditation and Global Rankings, she has been instrumental in elevating the faculty to meet international standards. In the Accounting Department, she leads efforts to improve curriculum, ensure top-notch educational quality, and develop specialized programs like the Higher Diploma in Taxation Expert. Her role extends beyond the university as she also works with national bodies to shape quality assurance in higher education across the region. Dr. Zaidan also provides regular training in CMA and JCPA for accounting professionals.

Lastly, Dr. Zaidan regularly review for several reputable journals in the accounting field, Moreover, she is a member of the editorial advisory board of Journal of Business and Socio-economic Development (JBSED) and she has currently guest edited a special issue in Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting and currently editing a book “Sustainability in Accounting and Finance Education: From CSR to Digital Transformation,”  for Emerald Publishing. Additionally, Dr. Zaidan regularly review for several reputable journals in the accounting field, Moreover, she is a member of the editorial advisory board of Journal of Business and Socio-economic Development (JBSED)
